Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) – ANNOUNCEMENT
Written by Gobi Moore on April 30, 2018
The Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) will shut down its nationwide offices that file and act with power of attorney to monitor claims for service-connected disability. The MOPH will close all offices providing those kinds of services on June 30, 2018.
All claims now being handled by the MOPH will be transferred to accredited service officers of other veteran service organizations such as the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans, state departments of veterans affairs and AMVETS. Veterans who currently have the MOPH as their power of attorney may want to contact the MOPH office or another Veterans Service Office to have their power of attorney changed.
Please contact your local Veteran Service Organization for any further information or updates or go to MOPH website for national listings.
